Man uses young child in Milton liquor store theft

Halton Police are looking to identify a man who used a young child to help him steal two bottles of rum from a Milton liquor store.

The unknown man walked into the LCBO store, located at 1025 Bronte St. S., at around 1:25 on June 9, 2022 and grabbed two bottles of Wray & Nephew white rum with a total value of $44.50.

Police say he then handed the bottles to a young child who was approximately 10 years old to hide in his pants before they left the liquor store.

The man is described as being between 30 to 40 years old and six-foot and 170 pounds. He had on a black sweater with a yellow shirt underneath and black pants with a white stripe down the side.

He also wearing red shoes and had a medical mask on.
