Zellers makes a comeback at Hudson’s Bay in Burlington Centre

If you miss Zellers, you’re in luck: The Canadian retail chain has made a surprise reappearance in Burlington.
A Zellers pop-up has opened inside Hudson’s Bay at Burlington Centre — and even more pop-ups could come in the future, according to Retail Insider.
As you’d expect, the new pop-up offers a variety of home products, accessories, and the Canada-themed clothing that the retail chain was once known for.
Zellers hit its peak in the 90s, during which it operated 350 stores across the country. However, strong competition from American retail chain Walmart caused Zellers to struggle in the 2000s, and they eventually closed up shop in 2013.
News of the pop-up has ignited social media, with some users amused at the unexpected return of Zellers and others genuinely excited/nostalgic.

Zellers hot chicken sandwich is Canada's signature dish, and I will not be taking further questions at this time. pic.twitter.com/bC51O3WlmB

At this time it hasn’t been confirmed where other Zellers pop-ups could come and when, but fans of the chain should definitely keep an eye out for further news.
Burlington Centre is located at the intersection of Guelph Line and Fairview Street in Burlington.
