Police say two Mississauga youths are facing charges after allegedly marking schools and other buildings with racist graffiti.

Peel police say that between November 2022 and April 2023, officers investigated reports of mischief in Mississauga. According to police, several schools and commercial buildings were damaged and vandalized with “graffiti depicting racial remarks.”

Police say the graffiti, which they are calling hate-motivated, caused thousands of dollars in damage.

On April 12, two male youths from Mississauga were arrested.

Both are facing mischief-related charges.

They were both released with conditions and will appear in court at a later date.

Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to contact investigators with the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453-2121 extension 1233.
