A national non-partisan organization dedicated to getting youth out to the ballot boxes has launched a voter education microsite with exclusive video content from Steven Del Duca, Andrea Horwath, and Mike Schreiner.

Future Majority’s VoteTube.ca had the party leaders answer the same set of questions, submitted by thousands of Future Majority members, each in a different format. Liberal leader Steven Del Duca ran through the questions while cooking a dish that defines his life – meatballs in homemade sauce. NDP boss Andrea Horwath shared her plan for Ontario through the Autocomplete Challenge. Mike Schreiner, head of the Greens, opted to speak with young Ontarians while shooting hoops.

Conservative leader Doug Ford declined to participate.

The site addresses parties’ plans to address key youth ballot box issues and included essential information for youth voters about how and where to vote.

“When we’re speaking to young Ontarians, many have indicated that they’d like to hear directly from party leaders’ about their biggest concerns headed into June 2,” said Meshall Awan, Communications Manager at Future Majority. “By creating a platform where party leaders can directly address GenZ and millennial voters about climate change, affordability, and mental health, we are making it easier to cast an informed ballot.”
