Young woman suffers ‘life-altering’ injuries after being struck by car in Brampton: Police

A young woman has suffered ‘life-altering’ injuries after being struck by a car in Brampton early Tuesday morning (Oct. 26).
According to Peel Regional Police, the collision was reported shortly after 5:30 a.m. when emergency crews were called to the area of Bovaird Dr. and Torbram Road in Brampton.
The 18-year-old woman who was struck was taken to a nearby trauma centre as the driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
The woman’s “injuries have been deemed non-life-threatening but life-altering,” police said in a Tweet.
Police said the Major Collision Bureau is still on the scene investigation and motorists should use alternate routes in the meantime.
