Young Oakville actor makes movie debut in new film

Piers Bijvoet, a 15-year-old Canadian actor from Oakville, recently made his movie debut in the film Falling.

The award-winning film is scheduled to be released in Canada on Feb. 5 and will be part of the Oakville Festival of Film and Art’s (OFFA) virtual screening series.

Falling premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and was an official selection for Cannes and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

Bijvoet has trained at top acting schools including The Second City, LB Acting Studio and Armstrong Acting Studios and has already starred in various commercials, music videos and web series.

He will also be featured in another upcoming film, It’s Alright Now, written and directed by Karen Schuback.
