Young child in Brampton struck by driver, seriously injured

A young child, who was in a stroller, sustained “serious” injuries when they were hit by a driver in Brampton on Wednesday night (Dec. 8).
The collision occurred Avondale and Autumn boulevards. Autumn Boulevard is closed between Avondale Blvd. and Anne Court, and drivers are advised to choose alternative routes.
It is unknown whether the child’s injuries are life-threatening. The driver remained on scene and has been cooperating with the Peel Regional Police.
