Young Brampton Men Charged in Residential Stabbing

Charges have been laid in a stabbing incident where a 56-year-old woman was stabbed at her residence in Brampton.

According to Peel Regional Police, on Sunday April 29, 2018, at around 5:45 p.m., a 56-year-old woman was standing on the porch of her residence in the area of Southlake Blvd. and Sea Lion Rd.

“The victim was approached by an unknown male who demanded her property,” reads a recent police statement.

“When she refused, she was stabbed multiple times. The victim was treated in hospital and is recovering from her injuries.”

The male escaped with two others in a vehicle. Police say a similar incident has occurred in Caledon.

Olorunyomi Ogunpolu, 21, of Brampton, Edgar Koroma, 19, of Bolton, and a 17-year-old male from Brampton have  been charged with five counts of robbery and attempted murder. 

The males were charged on May 7 and were held for bail.

Police say the three suspects left the scene in a dark blue 2006 Nissan Murano, similar to this:

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person and, therefore, the identity of the Young Person charged in this investigation is protected.
