Young boy assaulted, robbed of backpack near Burlington school

Halton Regional Police have arrested two teens after they allegedly assaulted another youth and stole his backpack in Burlington early Sunday evening (July 24).
Police say they were called by a witness who observed a fight between a group of young males at a local school.
The male victim was meeting a friend at the school when two other teen males wearing balaclavas approached him, said police.
He was then allegedly pushed, before getting into a fight with the two male teens over his backpack.
The backpack was eventually stolen and the victim suffered minor injuries.
“Police attended and arrested and charged two youth males each with Robbery and Disguise with intent,” Halton Regional Police Cst. Ryan Anderson told inhalton.com.

The stolen property was recovered.
