You can now buy candles that smell like Brampton…kind of

Candles that smell like Brampton? Why not?
There are at least two brands available on the market made by Toronto-based companies.
The Brampton Candle produced by Real Talk Candles, says it will bring alive local smells such as Highway 410 traffic, Chinguacousy Park and Sonny’s Hamburgers, among others.
Meanwhile, the Brampton More Times Candle offered by 6wicks Candle Company looks to represent the “rich mosaic of the people of Brampton” and “soft florals” to represent Ontario’s flower city.
While both brands promise to bring some hometown aroma to your nose, both pretty much are using their labels as a marketing tool and, in the case of the Brampton Candle, meant as somewhat of a gag.

The operators of Real Talk Candles say their Brampton Candle was created to have fun and revive some memories for those who grew up in town.
Rather than “smelling” like Brampton, the candle, like others that are offered by the company, can be custom designed with such scents as peaches and mint, marvellous magnolia and bedtime bath.
As for the Brampton More Times Candle, the scent is a combination of “warm cocoa butter, rich chocolate and soft jasmine flowers that grow beautifully in the Ontario summer heat!”
Prices range from $12-$25 depending on the size and can be ordered online or at some area stores.
