Wrong-way tow truck driver clocked at nearly 100 km/h over speed limit in Mississauga

A tow truck driver was allegedly travelling the wrong way and clocked at nearly 100 km/hr over the speed limit in Mississauga.
The tow truck driver was stopped for “completely unacceptable driving behaviour,” Peel Regional Police said in a post on X.
An officer clocked the driver travelling at 137km/h in a posted 40 km/hr zone “while also on the wrong side of the road,” police said.
The driver was reportedly stopped on Friday (March 15) around 12:30 p.m. near Teldo Street and the Queensway in Mississauga.
A 27-year-old driver faces several charges including stunt driving, careless driving, failing to stop at a stop sign, driving the wrong way and failing to properly wear a seat belt, according to news reports.
The driver’s licence was suspended and the tow truck impounded.
