The Brampton Library is looking to show off the writings of local wordsmiths at branches across the city to help their work get some exposure.

Now in its seventh year, the Local Authors Showcase gives authors in Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon the opportunity to have their books reach a wider audience.

Selected authors will have their books featured at Brampton Library branches and on the library website for an entire year, and will also be invited to participate in a book sale event later in the year.

The works of last year’s writers were on full display at the Brampton Farmers’ Market for the Local Author’s Showcase and book fair with some 80 titles available from over 60 local authors.

The showcase is open to authors of published and self-published books in any language who live in the Region of Peel.

The deadline to apply for the Local Authors Showcase is March 31 at 5:00 p.m. Authors interested in the showcase can click here to apply or visit www.bramptonlibrary.ca for more information.
