Workers at Hamilton Fortinos and Shoppers Drug Mart test positive for COVID-19

Staff members at a Hamilton Fortinos store and a Shoppers Drug Mart have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the stores’ parent company.
According to the Loblaw Company website, the last say the Fortinos member was in the store at 65 Mall Rd. on the mountain, was on Saturday (Nov. 7).
The Shoppers’ staff member was last in the store, located at 801 Mohawk Road W, last Thursday (Nov. 5).
“Given the important role we play in our communities, we are prepared for all possible situations, including a positive test for COVID-19 in our stores,” Loblaws said on their website.
“In these cases, we work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores.”
Both locations remain open to the public.
