Worker injured in Milton factory explosion

An explosion at a Milton factory this morning (Nov. 9) has sent one to hospital.

Reports indicate the explosion took place at a manufacturing plant in the area of Steeles Ave. and Roxul Rd. around 9 a.m.

The Milton Fire Department and other emergency crews arrived at the scene to contain the damage to the location of the explosion.

The extent of the injury to the worker in not known, but the person was attended to by paramedics at the scene and then take to hospital.

Police, fire officials and the Ministry of Labour continue to investigate the cause.
