Work underway on 4 high-rise towers with nearly 1,300 new units in Brampton

Shovels are in the ground and work has officially begun on four high-rise apartment towers that will bring nearly 1,300 new rental units to Brampton.

The development called Rose Towers will be four high-rise buildings ranging from 26 to 30 storeys tall at 241 Queen St. E. in Brampton. Each of the four buildings will feature ground-floor retail space and resident amenities on the second floor.

Developers Skyline and Solmar Development Corp. held a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday to celebrate the construction kick-off, and Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown says projects like Rose Towers “are critical to keeping pace with Brampton’s rapid growth.”

“Adding new rental housing along the Queen Street Corridor supports our long‑term planning priorities and adds much-needed rental homes in a key urban area in our city,” Brown said in a release.

Developers Skyline the towers will have 1,290 rental-only suites. A previous development application for the site was for a quartet of 35-storey towers with over 1,500 units.

Developers say Rose Towers will feature open-concept suites “with high-quality finishes designed for modern renters,” like outdoor common amenity spaces, fitness centres, lounges, BBQ areas, pet wash stations and three levels of underground parking.

The development is located within Brampton’s Queen Street Corridor and is less than two kilometres from Highway 410.

Skyline says it has completed 600 apartments in Ontario with another 1,350 currently under construction, and over 3,000 additional suites in the development.
