If you typically use High Point Drive in Milton, expect some delays due to an upcoming rehabilitation project.

Today, the town announced that Milton’s contractor, Pacific Paving Ltd., is upgrading the roadway for drivers and pedestrians. In a news release, the town said changes will include the removal and replacement of some sections of curb and gutter, raising structure grates for installation of surface asphalt, installing said asphalt and installing topsoil and sod.

The work will take on High Point Drive from Regional Road 25 to Parkhill Drive.

The project is slated to begin this month and wrap up in May, but the timeline could change, as work is weather-dependent.

While the road is not expected to completely close, the town said access could be limited at times.

“Local businesses and residents will receive notices if any work will impact them. Traffic delays are expected,” the town said in a news release.

Commuters are urged to plan their trips in advance and seek alternate routes when possible.
