Maintenance work on the Burlington Canal Life Bridge will result in alternating lane closures throughout most of the business day next Wednesday.

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) says the work will take place 9 a.m. till 4 p.m. on Sept. 7. During this period, PSPC expexts motorists to face “short delays” since only one lane will be open in each direction at a time. There will be two flagpersons on site to control traffic.

The bridge will remain open to cyclists and pedestrians, and marine traffic will not be affected.

The schedule is subject to change, depending on weather conditions.
