A little bit of word play has led to a big amount of cash for Mississauga’s Allen Chindalo.

Chindalo recently won the top prize of $50,000 playing an Instant Crossword ticket.

The winning ticket was bought at City Centre Convenience Store, on Elm Drive in Mississauga.

Instant Crossword costs $3 to play (one ticket) and the odds of winning are about one in four.

While most lottery and instant ticket winners are happy to provide the OLG with a few words about their big win in addition to the mandated “big cheque” photo, some choose to simply pose for the photo and quietly move on with their winnings.

The OLG mandates only that big winners must either pose for or supply a photo to be published. Any words from the winner are completely optional, according to the OLG.
