Woman struck by car in Brampton now in hospital

A woman is in hospital this evening after she was struck by a car in a Brampton suburb.

The woman was walking near Sandalwood Pkwy. and Sunny Meadow Blvd. shortly before 5 p.m. on Mar. 14. She was struck by a car in the busy intersection and injured.

Paramedics took her to a local hospital where she is being treated for her non-life-threatening wounds.

Peel Regional Police have not commented on the status of the driver or whether they remained at the scene.
