Woman sought in daylight theft of popular downtown Oakville clothing store

Halton Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who stole items valued at $320 from a popular retail store in downtown Oakville.

Police say the woman (pictured below) walked into a Roots store, located at 109 Lakeshore Rd. E., at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4 and stole a black leather purse and a pair of polar-tec pants.

The woman is described by police to be in her 50s with black and grey hair and is five-foot-five, 130 pounds. She was wearing a black jacket, black pants, black boots and was carrying a blue purse.
