One woman is dead following a daylight shooting at a plaza in Brampton, police say.
The shooting happened shortly before 2 p.m. on Tuesday in a plaza near the area of Airport Road and Queen Street East, Peel Regional Police say.
One adult female was shot and treated on the scene by Peel Regional Paramedics Services.
Police say the woman has been pronounced dead, but a paramedic spokesperson was unable to comment on the age of the victim.
No suspect information has been released, but police say they will provide updates as the investigation continues.
Police say entrances to the plaza have been closed and traffic in the area may be delayed due to the investigation.
