Woman sexually assaulted as she walks along Mississauga waterfront

A man believed to have sexually assaulted a 21-year-old woman as she walked along the Mississauga waterfront at night is being hunted by Peel cops.

According to investigators with the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit, the woman was walking along the Waterfront Trail near Lakeshore and Stavebank Rds. on March 7 at about 9:30 p.m. when she was approached by a man and then sexually assaulted.

The culprit is then believed to have fled the scene in a vehicle described as a grey four-door 2012 to 2014 Toyota Yaris.

He’s described as light-skinned, 5-foot-7 with a large build, full beard, shaved head on the sides with hair on top. He wore a red jacket, dark pants, a blue fanny pack and black-and-white running shoes.
