Woman allegedly held for sex-trafficking in a Brampton hotel, two men charged

A woman was allegedly held in a Brampton hotel and trafficked in the sex trade.

Two men face charges in the investigation of alleged sex-trafficking, say Peel Regional Police in an Oct. 11 press release.

The Specialized Enforcement Bureau – Vice investigated on Oct. 8 after receiving a report of “a woman being held against her will and trafficking in the sex trade” in a Brampton hotel, police said. The hotel wasn’t named.

Police found the woman and two men who had skeleton keys to access vehicles, ammunition and a controlled substance.

Two men from Montreal face charges.

Ismael Mouricin, 21, from Montreal was charged with the following:

  • Human trafficking
  • Failing to comply with an undertaking
  • Possession of break-in tools
  • Possession of a controlled substance

Investigators believe there may be additional victims, particularly in the Greater Toronto Area, and encourage them to contact police at 905-453-2121, extension 3555.
