UPDATE: Woman seriously injured in motorcycle crash in Mississauga

UPDATE: Peel Regional Police say the woman’s injuries are non-life threatening.

The roadways have since been reopened to motorists.

A woman has been taken to a hospital after a motorcycle crash in Mississauga this afternoon.

Peel Regional Police say the collision happened shortly after 2 p.m., near the intersection of Rathburn Road and Confederation Parkway.

Authorities have not released information regarding the identity of the injured woman including her name, age, and residence.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.

Both northbound and southbound lanes of Confederation Parkway are closed at Rathburn Road for further investigations.

Police have not provided an estimated time for when the roadways will reopen.

Drivers are asked to use alternate routes for the time being.
