Woman seriously injured in hit-and-run in Oakville

PARTIAL LOCKDOWN: School goes on alert north of Toronto due to 'suspicious' person, police say

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run in Oakville on Friday morning, and police are asking for help identifying the vehicle involved.

Halton Regional Police say officers were called to the intersection of Dundas Street East and Oak Park Boulevard shortly after 11 a.m., where the woman was struck by a passing vehicle. The driver did not remain at the scene.

The 67-year-old victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police have not provided an update on her condition.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam or security footage from the area between 11 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. to contact Halton Regional Police at 905-825-4777.
