Woman seriously injured during shooting in Brampton

A shooting investigation is underway in Brampton this afternoon, September 6.
At 3:10 p.m., it was reported that a woman had been shot in the area of Wilton Dr and Ardglen Dr (near the intersection of Clarence and Kennedy Rd S).
The victim has been transported to trauma centre in serious condition.
Police say the suspect (or suspects) fled the scene and was known to the victim.
No suspect description has been released at this time.
The investigation is ongoing and police say there is no threat to public safety.
