Woman sent to hospital following an alleged stabbing in Mississauga

A woman was sent to the hospital with minor injuries, following an alleged stabbing in Mississauga last night.

On Saturday (Sept. 23) at approximately 6:20 p.m., Peel Regional Police responded to the area of Aquitaine Ave. and Meadowvale Town Centre Cir., for reports of a stabbing.

A Peel officer told insauga.com that the circumstances leading to the stabbing incident involving a man and a woman are currently under investigation.

The woman sustained minor injuries, and both parties received treatment at a local hospital, an officer confirmed with insauga.com

According to police, specific details regarding the weapon and whether it was recovered are not available at this time, as investigations are ongoing.
