Woman sent to hospital after being struck by car in Brampton

A woman was rushed to hospital earlier this evening (Jan. 23) after being struck by a car while she walked near a busy Brampton intersection.
Peel Regional Police say via social media that the woman, whose age has not been released, was struck near the intersection of Ray Lawson Blvd. and McLaughlin Rd. shortly after 7:30 p.m.
The woman’s injuries are not considered life threatening, police say.
Police are urging motorists to stay away from the area as the investigation continues.
