Woman knocked to the ground and robbed of purse in Caledon parking lot

Police are turning to the public for leads after a woman was assaulted and had her purse stolen in a Caledon parking lot last week.

The OPP says the incident happened in the parking lot of a retail store on McEwan Drive around 8 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 6).

Police say a woman was in the parking lot when she was knocked to the ground by a suspect who then stole the victim’s purse.

The woman was unhurt in the altercation, and while the investigation is ongoing police say they don’t have a description of the suspect.

Investigators are asking members of the public for tips related to the robbery.
