Woman killed in head-on crash in Caledon

A 21-year-old woman is dead after a two-car crash in Caledon early on Saturday morning.

Shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Saturday (May 6), the OPP says officers from the Caledon detachment and emergency crews were called to the intersection of Queen St. and King St. in Bolton for reports of a crash.

When officers arrived they found two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision.

The drivers of both vehicles were rushed to hospital and a 21-year-old female from Bolton died of her injuries, police said.

Police closed off part of Queen St. for several hours while emergency crews and the OPP collision investigators and reconstructionists were on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dashcam footage of the incident to contact Caledon OPP at 905-584-2241 or 1-888-310-1122.
