Woman injured in Oakville apartment fire

A woman suffered burns to her hands as the result of an apartment fire in Oakville on Monday afternoon.
The fire broke out just shortly before 1 p.m. in the kitchen of a 12th floor apartment unit on Marlborough Court.
Oakville Fire Department crews arrived on the scene and cleared parts of the apartment.
The women was treated by Halton Region Paramedics.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
