Woman in wheelchair struck by car in Mississauga

A woman who uses a wheelchair is in hospital tonight after she was hit by a car in Mississauga.

Police announced the crash around 8 p.m. around a half hour after they were called. The woman was struck near Cook St and Dundas St W, a largely commercial stretch of road of shops, restaurants and clinics.

The driver stayed on scene. The woman was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
