Update: Woman hit by vehicle and sent to hospital in Mississauga

A woman was sent to hospital after she was struck by a vehicle in Mississauga this morning.
The woman was hit at Derry Road and Goreway Drive in Mississauga just before 6 a.m. on Tuesday (Feb. 7), Peel Regional Police said in a tweet.
The woman was transported to hospital. Police say they are awaiting more information on the extent of her injuries.
The vehicle remained on the scene.
Derry Road eastbound, east of Gorway Drive to the plaza entrance was closed.
Police advised drivers use alternate routes.
Update: In an update just before 11 a.m. police said the woman’s injuries are considered non-life threatening. The roads were re-opened.
