A Hamilton woman suffered critical injuries in a Hamilton crash on Tuesday night.
Emergency crews responded to the serious two-vehicle collision at Upper Wellington Street and Sirente Drive at approximately 11:16 p.m., Hamilton Police said.
A white Nissan SUV and a white Honda Accord collided at the intersection, police said.
Police said the driver of the Nissan, a 58-year-old Hamilton woman, sustained critical injuries and was transported to hospital, where she remains in critical but stable condition.
The driver of the Honda, a 19-year-old Hamilton man, sustained minor injuries, police added.
Upper Wellington Street was closed in the area of Sirente Drive while investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
The Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit is actively seeking witnesses to this collision and is requesting that any drivers who were travelling in the area at the time review their dash camera footage. Residents or businesses with surveillance cameras are also asked to review their footage for any information that may assist investigators.
