Woman arrested in north Oshawa for stunt driving, impaired – child found in back seat

A woman who was clocked doing 135 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone in north Oshawa last night has been charged with impaired driving as well as stunt driving.

Police also discovered a child in the back seat.

Durham Police stopped the woman on Simcoe Street, south of the Scugog Township border, just after nine p.m. Wednesday. The arresting officer then performed a roadside sobriety test and subsequently laid the impaired charge.

Her vehicle was impounded for 14 days, and her license was suspended for seven days (for the stunt driving) and 90 days (for the impaired charge).
