Woman Arrested After 5 People Struck by Vehicle Outside Mississauga Bar

Police are still searching for a male suspect after five people were struck by a vehicle outside a nightclub in Mississauga. 

Initially, police were searching for a male and a female suspect. However, police say the female suspect has now been arrested. 

According to police, on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at 2:48 a.m. an altercation between several people occurred inside a nightclub located at Enfield Place and Kariya Drive.

Police say the altercation continued out on to the street when one of the males involved retrieved his vehicle. 

The man drove up onto the sidewalk and struck five people that were involved in the altercation. 

A 23-year-old female victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The four other victims, according to police, suffered minor non-life-threatening injuries.    

On Dec. 27, 2018, a warrant of arrest was issued for Michael Polynice, a 37-year-old male from Toronto. The accused is wanted for three alleged counts of aggravated assault, two alleged counts of dangerous operation cause bodily harm, and one alleged count of fail to stop.

On Jan. 7, 2019, a warrant of arrest was issued for Nicole Bergsma, a 33-year-old female from St. Charles, Ontario. However, police say that on March 28, 2019, the accused went to the 12 Division and turned herself in. The accused is facing the following alleged charges: five counts of criminal negligence cause bodily harm, and one count of fail to comply with recognizance.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and will attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on, March 28, 2019 in answer to the charges.

However, the male suspect is still wanted.
