Witnesses wanted after fatal crash in Brampton

Police are looking to speak with witnesses to a fatal crash in Brampton last week.

Around 12:45 p.m. last Friday (Jan. 13), Peel Regional Police say a 2018 blue and white Dodge Ram pick-up truck and a 2017 red Toyota Corolla crashed in the area of Castlemore Rd. and HigHwy Hwy 50.

A female driver suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital, but police say the 48-year-old woman died of her injuries. The other driver, a 30-year-old male, remained on the scene after the crash and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dash camera footage of the incident to contact the Peel Regional Police Major Collision Bureau at (905) 453–2121 ext. 3710.
