Witnesses Sought After Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Mississauga

Police are searching for witnesses after a collision on Friday night (Novmber 30) left a Mississauga man dead.

Between 7:15 p.m. and 7:50 p.m., 54 year old Gianfranco (John) Zucatti was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in the area of Dundas and Wharton Way.

Zucatti was fatally injured and died at the scene, police say.

The vehicle did not remain at the scene.

According to investigators, evidence found at the scene points towards the involved vehicle being a 2017–2018 red Dodge Challenger (pictured below).

Police say the vehicle will be missing the right side mirror and will have damage to the right front headlight and front bumper.
