A winter weather travel advisory has been issued for Hamilton Wednesday (Jan. 26) as more snow is expected.

According to Environment Canada, a heavy band of lake effect snow will impact the region with expected snowfall amounts up to 5 cm as well as reduced visibility due to heavy and blowing snow.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution along portions of the QEW in Stoney Creek.

According to the weather agency, conditions are likely to ease throughout the afternoon, but temperatures will remain rather frigid, feeling like -20 degrees Celsius with the wind chill, into the evening and overnight
