Winter Lights Festival returns with tree lighting, Miracle on Main and winter markets in Brampton

Winter Lights Festival happening in Brampton this month

The holidays are fast approaching and the City of Brampton is getting into the spirit of the season with the Winter Lights Festival.

Brampton’s Winter Lights Festival is back for another year with a weekend full of festive events starting on Nov. 17 to help get you in the giving spirit.

From the official tree-lighting ceremony and holiday market to the Miracle on Main charity event, the Winter Lights Festival offers a chance for Bramptonians to get a head start on their holiday shopping and give back to the community.

Here are the Winter Lights Festival events coming this month in Brampton:

Miracle on Main Street – Friday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. 

This annual charity event by the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation will feature winter lights displays, amusement rides, food vendors, and fun giveaways and activities for the whole family.

Admission is free with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy in support of local Brampton organizations.

Market on Main – Friday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m.

With booths from local vendors and artisans, the Market on Main offers a chance to browse unique and handcrafted items while taking in the festive lights and live performances.

Tree Lighting Ceremony – Friday, Nov. 17 at 6:45 p.m.

Experience the magic of the holiday season in Ken Whillans Square on Nov. 17 with Brampton’s official tree lighting ceremony, as the city’s 60-foot-tall spruce tree comes to life with more than 10,000 lights.

Winter Artist Market – Saturday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m.

The Springdale Library branch will be transformed into a one-of-a-kind market featuring works from Brampton artists and arts organizations. Hosted by the Brampton Arts Organization, the market will also feature Enjoy live music and free festive activities for the entire family.

Brampton Santa Claus Parade – Saturday, Nov. 18 at 5 p.m.

Santa Claus is coming to town early again this year with the annual Brampton Santa Claus parade, presented by the Rotary Club of Brampton. The parade route will see Santa Claus travel north from Bramalea Road and Central Park Drive before heading east on North Park Drive.
