Winning $2.5 million lottery ticket was sold in Mississauga

Two people who bought Lotto 6/49 tickets in Mississauga and Toronto for last night’s draw are $2.5 million wealthier.

OLG officials say there are two winning tickets for the Dec. 28 Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw jackpot. One was sold in Mississauga, the other in Toronto, and each is worth $2.5 million.

In addition, a Dec. 28 Encore ticket worth $100,000 was also sold in Toronto.

Lottery officials encourage all who bought tickets for the Dec. 28 draw to check their numbers as soon as possible.

The Classic Draw offers a fixed $5 million jackpot in every draw.

The next Lotto 6/49 draw is this Saturday, New Year’s Eve. The jackpot is $44 million.
