Winners fitting room cellphone investigation leads to charges in Ontario

A 36-year-old man from Mississauga is facing voyeurism charges following two alleged incidents at an Oakville retail store, according to the Halton Regional Police Service.

Police say officers were first called to a Winners store located at 2460 Winston Churchill Blvd. in Oakville in early April 2026 after reports that a man allegedly used a cellphone to record an adult woman while she was changing inside a fitting room.

Investigators with the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau later identified a suspect through what police described as a variety of investigative techniques.

As the investigation continued, detectives allegedly linked the suspect to another similar incident involving an adult female at the same Oakville Winners location in November 2024.

On May 16, 2026, investigators executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence in Mississauga, where the accused was arrested.

Police say officers seized multiple items believed to have evidentiary value, including cellular phones and a laptop computer.

As a result of the investigation, Dishanth Srideva, 36, of Mississauga, has been charged with two counts of voyeurism.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in Milton at a later date.

Investigators believe there could be additional victims. Anyone who may have been victimized by the accused, or who has information related to the investigation, is being asked to contact the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2216.
