William Osler auctions off high-end goods for healthcare fundraiser

Airfare, gaming consoles and tickets to see the Raptors and Maple Leafs are just a few of the items up for grabs at an online auction raising funds for healthcare projects in Brampton.

On Nov. 18, Brampton’s Rose theatre will host a charity concert and online auction to raise funds for William Osler Health System Foundation projects, like the redevelopment of the Peel Memorial Centre, and a new Cancer Care Centre to Brampton Civic Hospital.

With the audience seated on stage with the performers, the one-night-only event will provide a unique entertainment experience with award-winning stage, television and recording artist Robert Pilon.

And while the concert is sold out, Brampton residents can get in on an online silent auction featuring fashion and beauty products, two Air Canada tickets to any scheduled destination, a PlayStation 5, and tickets to see Toronto Raptors and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Bidders can pre-register for the auction at OslerConcert.ca, and the auction opens on Saturday (Nov. 12) and closes on Nov. 18.

The evening will be hosted by comedian Jessica Holmes, best known for her work with the Royal Canadian Air Farce.

Funds raised from the event will be matched by John Esplen and The Humberview Group, who recently announced a $1 million matching gift to Osler Foundation to support equipment and redevelopment needs at Osler facilities.

“This year’s concert is an incredible way to come together to celebrate exceptional health care in the community,” said Dr. Frank Martino, President and CEO of the health system.
