Orane Mcbean of Brampton proves the old adage that it only takes one ticket to win.

Mcbean, who said he doesn’t play the lottery very often, $75,000 with Instant Poker.

“This is the first Instant ticket I’ve purchased in a while,” he said when he picked up his winnings at the Toronto OLG prize centre.

Mcbean told his wife about his big win right away. “I kept telling her it’s real, but she didn’t believe me,” he laughed.

“I went to the store to purchase a coffee and noticed some new lottery tickets, so I decided to try one out. I played the ticket in my truck and noticed I won $6 so I bought more tickets and played again. I checked them using the OLG App and thought, ‘No way, this can’t be right!'”

He will use his winnings for home renovations and to treat his family to a nice dinner to celebrate.

The winning ticket was purchased at D.M. Kitchen Food Fair on Steeles Avenue in Thornhill.
