Whitby Mayor joins conference call with residents in phone town hall

Whitby Mayor Don Mitchell will be on the line to talk with the his constituents in a telephone town hall in the coming weeks.
When the event begins, thousands of random home phones across Whitby will ring at 7 p.m. Monday, February 22, to invite residents and businesses to take part in the town hall.
There is no set agenda to the event as it will be a live, open forum. Residents who get a call need only stay on the line to participate in the hour-long meeting.
“Community feedback is key to ensuring that Council will continue to deliver on the priorities of our residents,” said Mitchell. “I look forward to hearing directly from the community as we continue to build a great town.”
Residents who want to ensure they get a call to join, or who want their cell phone called, can online register or by calling 905.430.4300 ex. 2203 to participate in advance. Residents who wish to ask a question can submit it through the form.
The Whitby-wide conference call will be recorded and posted to the town Youtube channel.
