Whitby man charged with historic sexual assault against a child

A 74-year-old man from Whitby is facing several sexual assault related charges for incidents from nearly 15 years ago.
Police began their investigation in July, when investigators were presented with allegations against the suspect. The alleged assaults took place between 2005 and 2009 in Whitby, when the victim was 13 years old.
Samuel (Noel) Winders has been charged with two counts of sexual assault, sexual exploitation/invite/counsel, sexual interference with a person under 14 years and make, publish, possess child pornography.
