A Whitby man is charged with several trafficking offenses after Durham Regional Police found $110,000 worth of drugs during three raids.

The DRPS Community Response Team kicked off an investigation earlier this year and wrapped it up with the arrest of a man in Pickering May 18.

They then executed three search warrants and found methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl in the search. Police estimate the drugs are worth $110,000. They also found $1,000 in Canadian cash.

Shaffin Shariff, 45 of Whitby, is charged with six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts for each drug found.

He will remain in custody until a bail hearing. Anyone with information pertinent to the investigation can call Cst. Ekelman of at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1836 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
