What’s open and closed on Victoria Day May 23 in Hamilton
Published May 22, 2022 at 6:15 am

This year Victoria Day falls on Monday, May 23, 2022 in Hamilton.
It’s the first long weekend of the summer (well, almost summer) and there’s a lot to see and do around Hamilton.
For those looking to celebrate with a bang, the Hamilton Fire Department recently reminded residents that fireworks are ONLY permitted on Victoria Day and Canada Day, between dusk and 11 pm. If there’s bad weather on those days that would prevent the use of fireworks, they can then be used the day following the holiday ONLY…between dusk and 11 pm.
Check the City of Hamilton website for more information on its fireworks bylaw and for safety tips.
