Here’s what’s open and closed on Thanksgiving Day on Monday, October 12, 2020 in Mississauga.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some things that are typically open might be closed and there will be no major public events due to physical distancing restrictions.
Under COVID-19-related laws, private gatherings of over 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors are prohibited.

- The Walmart Supercentre at Square One
- The Food District at Square One
- Whole Foods Market at Square One (7 am to 5 pm)
- T & T Supermarket
- Rabba grocery stores
- Most Shoppers Drug Marts
- Mississauga Chinese Centre
- Other major malls that are open:
- Bramalea City Centre (11 am - 6 pm)
- Toronto Premium Outlets (11 am - 7 pm)
- Vaughan Mills (10 am - 6 pm)
- Eaton Centre (11 am - 7 pm)
- Pacific Mall
What’s open and closed in Brampton and Halton and Hamilton.
Closed:
- Most major grocery stores
- Most major malls, including Erin Mills Town Centre, Dixie Outlet Mall, Sherway Gardens and Yorkdale Shopping Centre
- Movie theatres are closed due to COVID-19
- Indoor entertainment venues such as galleries, museums and theatres are closed to COVID-19 restrictions
- Heartland Town Centre and other power centres
- All government offices
- City Hall
- Banks
- Libraries
- Community Centres
- LCBO
- The Beer Store
- Canada Post (no mail pickup or delivery)
- Non-emergency Region of Peel Services (for emergencies related to food, shelter, medication or personal support, call the Region of Peel at 905-791-7800)
- Garbage and recycling will be collected one day later
Transit
- MiWay/Mississauga Transit will operate on a holiday schedule
- GO Transit will run on a Sunday schedule
