What’s open and closed on Monday, Sept. 19 in Hamilton

Monday, Sept. 19, 2022, is a day of mourning in Hamilton and a national holiday in memory of Queen Elizabeth II, who died on Sept. 8, 2022, at Balmoral Castle in the United Kingdom at the age of 96.

The holiday will not be applied provincially in Ontario, so only federal workers will be given the day off — similar to Remembrance Day.
